Record candidates and improved results in ACCA's latest exam figures
Over 6,500 students successfully complete exams

A record number of students took ACCAexams in December 2009, with 197,928 candidates taking 388,872 papers.This growth compares favourably with 187,335 students taking a total of370,715 papers in June 2009.
The exams results, issued on 22February, revealed that 6,678 students successfully completed theirfinal exams to become ACCA affiliates.
'We are delighted that results aresteadily improving throughout the professional level papers,' said AudeLeonetti, ACCA acting executive director - learning. 'This is, webelieve, due to our continued focus on study resources and strongpartnerships with learning providers around the world.
'We are also extremely pleased to see that performance in the Fundamentals paper F5 (Performance Management)continues to improve as a result of the package of support that we putin place for this paper. We continue to focus on ensuring that studentshave the best possible resources to enable them to progress throughACCA’s internationally recognised examinations.
'It isencouraging to see that despite the global economic conditions, tens ofthousands of people continue to develop their skills for a career inaccounting. We also want to congratulate the 6,678 people who have nowcompleted their exams and we look forward to welcoming them to ACCAmembership on completion of their practical experience requirements andprofessional ethics module. ACCA is committed fully to supporting theseindividuals in the next phase of their careers.'
