Dear Ms Wang
Thank you for choosing ACCA.
We are pleased to inform you that your application has been successful and you are now a student of the ACCA Qualification.
Your student registration number and password can be used to access myACCA - your personalised area of the ACCA website. myACCA contains services relevant to the qualification and level you are studying and gives you access to a range of online services including:
student Facts booklet
updating your address and other personal details
entering for exams
viewing and receiving exam results
making payments to your account
changing your password
What happens next?
You will find all the information you need to know about being a student in your student handbook, known as the Facts booklet, which you will find under myACCA.
You will also receive three special editions of your student magazine - Student Accountant - that will provide you with advice on study, exams, experience and ethics. Keep an eye on your inbox for this.
For information on learning materials to support your studies please see ACCA's Content Provider Directory. This includes information on all materials provided by ACCA's Approved Learning Partners - content, as well as non approved content which may help to support your studies.
On the basis of the documentation provided you have been awarded exemption(s) from paper(s)
F1 - Accountant in Business Exemption
F2 - Management Accounting Exemption
F3 - Financial Accounting Exemption
F4 - Corporate and Business Law Exemption
F5 - Performance Management Exemption
F9 - Financial Management Exemption
You will need to pay an exemption fee for each paper awarded. The easiest method of making a payment is online by credit or debit card through myACCA. You can also send payment to our office by cheque, bank draft or postal order. To help you do this you should download an exemption notification and invoice via myACCA - in the essential information section. Please note, it may take up to 48 hours from receipt of this email for your account balance to reflect this information.
The nine Essentials and four Optional performance objectives that you are expected to achieve as part of your PER and their link to the ACCA Qualification syllabus can be viewed via the following: http://www.accaglobal.com/per. In order to gain the ACCA Qualification as quickly as possible, it is recommended that the exams and relevant performance objectives are completed simultaneously.
As the exemptions awarded to you are based on a qualification gained more than 5 years previously, you are required to forfeit these exemptions and sit the relevant ACCA examinations should you wish to subsequently apply for an ACCA practising certificate and audit qualification for the UK.
Should you fail to meet this requirement you will not be eligible to apply for these practising rights once converted to ACCA membership.
If you wish to forfeit any or all of the exemptions awarded to you, please email or write to ACCA confirming the exact exemptions to be forfeited. Please note that you cannot reclaim these exemptions at any time in the future.
In addition, if you have been awarded exemptions from papers F4 and/or F6 on the basis of a qualification which does not include UK or Irish tax and law you will need to pass the UK or Irish variants of these papers should you wish to apply for a practising certificate and audit qualification for the UK or Ireland in the future. For further information about the UK and Irish practising certificate and audit qualification please visit http://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/help/members-faqs.html
I note that you have opted to join the ACCA - Oxford Brookes programme with a view to gaining the BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting.
In order to be eligible for this programme, students must sit and pass certain examinations with ACCA. Unfortunately, as your current qualifications entitle you to exemption from papers F9 - Financial Management you are not eligible to be a member of the degree programme at this time. Your status has been amended to reflect this.
Should you still wish to join the degree route with Oxford Brookes University, you are required to forfeit the exemption(s) stated above. If you wish to forfeit any or all of the exemptions awarded to you, please email or write to ACCA confirming the exact exemptions to be forfeited. Please note that you cannot reclaim these exemptions at any time in the future.
If you have successfully entered for exams as part of the registration process, an acknowledgement of your entry will follow by email under separate cover.
If you have any questions please contact ACCA Connect by email: students@accaglobal.com or telephone +44 (0)141 582 2000.
From everyone at ACCA, we wish you every success with your future studies.
Regards
ACCA
